This is the first attempt of a website for NEWPORT Amicus (yes that's right Newport Pagnell)...viewing the Bletchley     site, i decided to bully my brother into helping me develop this site so thanks tom! As all those who know me, should know computers and little brothers don't agree with me! So u should appreciate all of this sweat and blood im going through! And if anything goes wrong...blame it on Tom, he is my mentor.

A little about AMICUS...

• As part of the Boys Brigade family Amicus is unashamedly Christian, the object being "the advancement of Christ's Kingdom". The programme provides for the Christian development of the members and attendance at church worship is encouraged. 
• Membership is available to male and female on an equal basis between school year 9/10 (or equivalent) to 22 years.
• All members have an equal opportunity to contribute to the running of the group. Leaders are appointed by the local church on completion of Amicus Leader Training, their role being to co-ordinate the group activities and programme but not necessarily to deliver it.
• Uniform is optional and it is up to the group members themselves to decide whether to have any kind of uniform.
• Amicus is offered as an additional resource or alternative available to church groups with or without existing Boys' Brigade or Girls' Brigade. The pilot scheme demonstrated that Amicus can complement existing youth work in a new and dynamic way.

A little about our AMICUS...

The Amicus which i attend is situated in a little place called Newport Pagnell...which is near (not in!!!) Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire. 

We meet on a Monday night between 7:15 and 10:00 in the evening.

We do a multitude of activities throughout the evening which have in the past included:

• Pancake races
• Chip shop crawls
• Brazilian night
• Egyptian night
• Get fit night

.....the list goes on! So i wont bore you to death!

Then before we all go home, the evening is ended with devotions...a time to learn about and worship God.
